see my last review on the Ice Jacket #2. This jacket could be a nice one if the main zipper wasn't plastic * which came apart after zipping it only twice!~ )and the arms weren't so small. ( You need tooth picks and no muscles for this arm to fit right.) It could rate a ten but with these small yet Major faults for the price, even on sale I would give it a 2 or 3. North Face really needs supervision and some quality control over the making of these jackets. Asia isn't gettin' it guys.... I am very disapointed.

Well, I tried the medium and the size fit. ( See my review on the large below) There were a few flaws in the coat and the hood is sized for a helmet! Needless to say I sent the jacket back. I want to compliment the people at BC, they do a great job in CS!! Now TNF just needs to get a few things fixed.. like thier sizing and some designing issues! I next tried a large Amplitude jacket which WAS the right size for my body! This could of been a really nice jacket BUT the outer zipper is weak plastic and came apart the second time I zipped it up! I wanted to keep that jacket but the arm pits are cut so small you need to be a rail for a decent fit. What a shame, I have many columbia jackets that just walk all over these products at a lower cost. Will someone wake up TNF!!!

This is the second North Face jacket I have ordered only to find it does not fit. Although very high quality and a very warm jacket, it is WAY too big. ( I ordered my usual Large). The arms are over 4 inches too long, and I can pinch an easy 4 inches of slop away from my mid core with the jacket zipped up. I bought a large in a North Face wind breaker which was made in a different Asian country and it was TOO small. The bummer is I bought a beautiful North Face down jacket for one of my kids and it is Perfect, Size and all. The only choice I had was to order a medium jacket in the color I don't want to check the fit. (Black is no more in Med. and two hits on the CC at once.. ouch). I just wish The North Face would get a standard going for their sizes. One country to the next in Asia just isn't cutting it. Crossing my fingers and hoping the med. will fit!!!
Cut the mao and bring on the mustard The North Face, you are surely going to lose customers just over a simple sizing issue. 1 size standard for all foreign country makers.. just a suggestion. Buyers be willing to hit and miss I am afraid, or be lucky enough to try on a specific garment and size before ordering.
