Familiarity: I've used it several times
I purchased this jacket during backcountry's holiday sale and have used it primarily around town. The jacket seems to weigh absolutely nothing but seems to give surprisingly good warmth. I would say it will keep you warm till about 35-40F while not conducting any aerobic activities ( ie climbing, ski etc). This jacket is a relatively loose fit allowing for a few layers underneath. There are only a couple of small faults I can find. I have the non hooded version of the jacket and I wish that neck portion would rise slightly higher and also be slightly tighter. I have a 15 1/2 inch neck and on a medium size jacket the cold wind will sneak in on occasion and give a little chill. Also the elastic wrist bands could be a little tighter. It is not that they are terribly loose, just that they don't tightly hug my wrists. Overall I would give this jacket a strong 4.5, so I rounded up to 5.
