Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was surprised how good this bean blend is. The bag doesn't say but Im guessing their some Ethiopian (my favorite). Dark roast, but not too dark, not too roasty great all-around balance of flavor. Makes great espresso !! And I've used it in an AeroPress and french press, both great… the Crest Trail Blend is really good.

If you appreciate espresso, you will like this device. There's a slight learning curve: pre-heat the device, use very fine coffee grind to achieve a 20 sec pour (not too fast or slow); approx 40 stokes to achieve 15bars of pressure. I do this twice to get my serving size. Perfect for car camping, a little heavy for backpacking, but not a deal breaker. Very Easy cleaning. Paired perfectly with a fast boiling stove.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Fit: True to size

I'm looking for a light weight hiker and because of the sale price, I took a gamble to see if the Kailash would fit. Bottom line: not recommended for low vol narrow feet as advertised the Scarpa BX last is for normal feet; too wide for my feet. The Scarpa BD last, with pulley-lock lace is almost perfect, e.g., Scarpa Zanskar. Still looking for a light weight summer hiker?..
