I really dig the style of these gloves, and they are just as stylish to wear.I found they were a little small - fitted fine, but getting the right one on was a battle that my mit wearing friends would enjoy as they waited for me to get ready. They performed pretty well for most tasks, I could do up the shoelaces on my snowboard boots without taking them off. They were brilliant in most of the weather i faced in two weeks at Niseko, but they tended to absorb water. My hands stayed dry, but the leather once wet wasn't nearly as warm and they would stick to the frozen lift metalwork if you weren't careful. With regular waterproofing treatment they would stay dry, but still cold in the most extreme temps we faced. That said I doubt I would get much warmer without going for a mitten

I would have liked a retention strap for pulling these off on the lifts, but there was no chance of them coming off by accident.
Not really a fault of the glove, but my jacket was huge, and the short cuff of these gloves and the poor fit of my jacket meant i was wearing a bracelet of snow most powder days.

I was surprised at just how thick this thermal was, it seems more like a lightweight mid-layer than a heavy base-layer.

Given the weight i tended to wear it over my t-shirt and under my insulated ski jacket.
On the snow it was completely unnecessary (too hot).

Heading to the bar at night through the streets of Niseko, it was reasonable, But in Sapporo, the wind chill was pretty intense and I really had to wear it with pretty serious fleece or a cheap poly-pro thermal underneath to keep warm.

I don't think it helped that i ended up with a size too big (based on bc.com's sizing chart). I should have gone smaller for a tighter fit.

My first time in the snow and so i wasn't sure what to get. These goggles performed excellently for two weeks of punishment in Niseko. I had the Ignitor mirror lenses, and they performed as a pretty good all rounder. The sunny days they were a little bright looking in the direction of the sun, but the snow wasn't too glare-y.There was a period round dusk where i tended to loose any sort of clarity at all, but once the sun set and the lights came up they gave me enough clarity to get by.

In terms of sizing, these felt a little small, one of the lads i was travelling with had the bigger smith model with the same lense, and these seemed to fit my face better. (560mm head). But that said, i had not problem with the smaller size.

The only time they fogged was when i was freezing on the lift and trying to cover my nose with my neck-warmer. Ended up picking up a cheap face-mask for the super cold days and all my issues cleared up

I bought these gloves to line a pair of OR outer gloves, to hopefully give them a bit of warmth.

They sort of worked, they weren't particularly toasty wandering from between our chalet and the various bars and restaurants in Niseko, but they weren't useless either. Possibly i needed more air-gap, or a more serious liner for this weather.

Where i did find them handy, was on their own they allowed me to still use my camera, and protected my hand from the worst of the cold, even in Sapporo - which tended to have pretty bad wind chill. Between shots i could shove my hand in my jacket pocked and it stayed pretty toasty!
