Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs small

I had the Marmot Ion wind jacket, lost it. This is replacement, as they seem to have discontinued the Ion. I love the light weight and packability. Unfortunately, they made some changes for the worse....princess seams make fit weird....narrow & too long. I had an XS Ion, needed S in this. They also made hood not adjustable, a mistake. And gussets for breathability now run the length of the sides instead of just pits area. That means more wind! Otherwise, I'm dealing with it. I do like the cuff, hem, & hood elastic binding, and it does pretty much block wind.

I bought these to be my "one ski quiver" (I have other expenses too!) They ski the bumps great "inbounds" and handle very well all over the mountain. In the b/c, I'm the envy of my friends w/the lightest weight gear (Dynafit Radical STS bindings) for climbing, and skiing the powder is a blast!!! They handle so well for all conditions, I'm thrilled. I tried out several other skis, these performed best and were lightest by 2#, so the choice was easy. I'm 5'3", have the 156cm length, am very happy!

I'd love to love this jacket, but it's just not cut for me. Materials are good, features good. I'm 5'3", 114#, the "small" (British 10) was way too long and narrow....tight around middle, and I'm NOT big! Next size would've been huge. Also, only color available, blue, isn't all that striking. So, despite wanting to love it, I sent it back. If you like the color and are tall and extra-slim, I recommend it.
