Water drop Test 1 of 3 : close up of the fabric

ADDENDUM : Just adding some words after using this for over 2 months. I liked it so much i bought another one in Black.

I have to say i am very impressed with this polo shirt. It is more durable than it looks. After more than 2 months of regular use, there is neither a fray on the fabric. While it isnt recommended - i can safely say you can wear this shirt for a few days and it would not stink at all.

I did a non-scientific test. Check out the pictures i included.

In Pix 1 is a close up of the fabric. Notice it has a horizontal design detail.

I came across this pants while doing a search for a hiking pant that had a material close to a "shoeller" type fabric. It had to be stretchy, and have DWR.

When the package arrived in the mail, i wasted no time in trying it on. The material is nice. Has 4-way stretch. It looks great too! Has a clean design, with 2 thigh pockets in a slant welded zip design, a rear pocket and 2 hand pockets.

Sadly, the fit was not good. It was too long (inseam) for me. I am 5 feet 11 inches tall and an inseam of 31 inch would be great. This pair in Medium Regular, had an inseam about 32-33 inches. So there was a lot of material bunching up in the ankles. And a worry that it would drag on the floor when you walked.

To be fair, i have been exercising a lot so maybe i should have gone with a size "S" regular inseam.

Overall i would still recommend it as the BEST LOOKING North Face hiking pant right now.

In the past month i have worn this shirt more than 6 times and laundered it thrice.

I absolutely love the details and features that MH put into this shirt.
- the mesh panels on the sides of the torso ( invisible if you are wearing the NAVY blue option)
- vents at the back
- the zipped left chest pocket
- the 3 fold collar to protect your neck from the sun
and did i say how much i love it in NAVY BLUE?

It dries real FAST as well so say BYE-BYE to embarrassing wet shirts sticking to skin!

Highly recommended!!

I am 5feet 11inches tall, 155 pounds average build. I ordered a size "S".
I live in singapore where the weather is mostly HOT & HUMID.

I wanted a shirt that 1) Durable 2) Quick Dry 3) Some anti-odor treatment & 4) Looks good.
This shirt has ALL the above.

Been using this shirt for 3 weeks now.

I love that they decided to keep the logo in the same color tone as the shirt. I move around a lot during my work and carry a backpack.I can say this shirt is durable. The material is knit tight and smooth. It does not snag. Perspiration is quickly absorbed and dries up. The shirt is said to have MINERALE treatment. I think it definitely works because there is no hint of odor at all even after an entire day outdoors. To test this i usually wear the shirt twice a week before washing it. The plastic snap buttons are a real convenience. Probably the only thing i wish they would change - is to remove the zip pocket. Personally i do not need it nor have i used it.

I just ordered the HYDRY polo also from TNF. WIll be testing how good that one is.

Overall i like this shirt a lot and at this price its good value!

They are OK

Contrary to the other reviewer's opinion. I got mine to work well with my Salomon XA pro 3D ultras. These gaiters are made of neoprene like material and rubber. They are each labelled for Left/Right foot. Putting them on is easy. FIrst wear your shoes, then loop the rubber part under your shoe heel and lock it into that slight gap in the middle of the shoe. Then wrap the neoprene section around your ankles. It work best with very low to no-show socks. I wear a size 11.5 shoe and i got the size S after reading that the L size was too loose. I rate this 3 stars because the hook & loop fastener tends to snag the neoprene material if you are not careful.
