I wear this jacket almost every day. So far I have used it on several backpacking trips, hikes, climbs, and late-night green tea sessions on the back porch ;) . On the first backpacking trip it got below -10 degrees, and I felt very comfortable with only a very light sweater underneath. The cut of the arms and chest is perfect - kept me wonderfully toasty while bouldering and climbing - without riding up or exposing my back and sides to the breeze.
It breathes well and will keep you super warm if you cinch down the waist and the hood. On top of all this, it looks great just wearing it around town (have had several compliments so far) and weighs almost nothing!
If you want it to be water resistant, buy a bottle of nikwax and throw it in the wash.
This is one of the cheapest down hoodies I could find, and I couldn't be happier - get this coat!
Would anyone recommend this for making top-rope anchors? Was thinking about getting some to sling around boulders for part of the anchor..
