Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

Used for winter hiking, snowshoeing, and a good bit of ice climbing. Snug fit on me but still work well due to the stretch. Plenty warm and I can even fit long underwear underneath. Overall, very good pants. Only problem is that one of the bottom cuff cinches wasn't attached on the inside so I had to feed it back through and sew it, but that doesn't justify subtracting a star in my opinion.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Just took hitchhiking to Canada. Nice and small and fairly light. Efficient and versatile, have only used white gas so far and it boiled pretty quickly. Used unleaded fuel in my friend's and it worked fine. I like the included wind screen. Not as efficient as the new JetBoil type stoves but more versatile. My preference as well as the preference of many of my friends. We even forgot how to prime it so we just poured fuel on it and lit and there it went. The AK 47 of the stove world.

Got these shoes primarily for summer hiking and some trailrunning, but I have now used them in the winter as well. They are nicely made and fit well, they have a very rigid feel and work well for hiking, and even scrabbling. Only complaint is that the lace system can get very uncomfortable on long hikes over 10 miles as it places the pressure on a small line over your foot. Also, the Goretex works well but after they get dirty they let some water in.
