Martin A.wrote a review of Altra Olympus 2.0 Running Shoe - Men's on May 16, 2016
Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: Runs small
I decided to try these shoes to see if they would help with some plantar foot pain that I have been having since doing some long training runs. I felt I needed something more supportive and cushioned, but I still want a natural running style that the zero drop Altra promotes. I have done a couple of runs in them (mostly trail running) and I have not had as much pain, although my feet and body feel a bit heavier as I run in them. I am used to more minimal shoes, and it's weird not feeling the ground as much. I wish the shoe locked down on my heel a little more tightly. I have not had any ankle roll incidents or blisters so far. I think these shoes might get me through some long tough training runs.
