Familiarity: I've used it several times

i really like this pack. i ski mainly sidecountry or day touring trips and i am fairly petite (5'3") so i love the small size. along with my probe and shovel (in the avy gear pocket) i have room for food & water, an extra layer (as long as it packs down well), skins, sunscreen, compass, map, sunnies/goggles, and small first aid kit. i recommend it 100% if you are interested in a pack for sidecountry as it's small enough to ride with you on the lifts fairly easily, or if you're short and interested in a pack that actually fits you. the helmet sling is a nice feature-- it fits my helmet (smith holt sz small w/ ear pads removed) perfectly and is very easy to use.
however, although it makes great use of the space, it's still pretty small, so it would be hard to fit all the necessities for anything longer than a day's tour.

only downside: the avalung (on mine at least) is on the left shoulder and there is a largish hard box integrated in the strap. i prefer to carry other things on that shoulder (just other bags, my boots, etc mainly in transit to skiing) and it's a little annoying.

These are actually the best goggles ever. I have ones with a Black Iridium lens, and just got the Lava Tempest with Pink Iridium for cloudy days. I ski mainly whistler blackcomb, and while the black iridiums are amazing for sunny days, I really need something a little lighter for all those cloudy days we get in BC. I have a medium size face (I guess?) for a girl and I wear em with a Smith Holt helmet. I usually put the strap under my helmet, but they also fit if you have the strap over top. The plush 3 layer foam is really comfy, they look super fierce and even hiking in light rain, fogging is a non issue. Really, what more could you want in a goggle?
