Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I absolutely loved this jacket for the 2 1/2 years that I owned it. I travelled to South America with it, ice climbed in it, rock climbed in it... you name it. It is not quite warm enough for cold AK days, but works well as a layer. The material did not stand up to the granite in Joshua Tree, but there is nothing that a patch can't fix. My only problem with the jacket is that the zipper failed before the material did. For a $250 jacket, I would expect a more durable zipper.

I have been running in these shoes for about a year and absolutely love them. It took some getting used to on the trails and I still slip and eat it when the trails are wet. That said, when I wear these I don't have problems with my knees or with tight IT bands. I ran a marathon in them last year and will be doing another in September. The marathon is mostly trails if that helps anyone's decision. They do get really smelly ...

These gloves lasted me four years of hard abuse! I use them for everything and have even climbed ice with them (not recommended!). They don't quite cut it for our -40 days in Alaska, but they worked down to around -10F while moving (cross-country skiing, running, etc.). I have small hands and the xs has a little room left; this might be why the fingertips finally blew out.
