adora's Bio

I am your ultimate "all season" outdoor enthusiast. If it's snowing, you'll find me on my snowboard in the mountains. Tree runs, powder days, first tracks, apres ski-- I love it all. Winter time means opportunities for snow camping and secluded back country adventure. During summer, I'll be splashing in the water-- wake boarding, SUPing, swimming and surfing. The rest of the year, I enjoy mountain biking, yoga, hiking, dancing and traveling!

Born in Sacramento, CA, but totally in love with the PNW.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had this water bottle for over 7 years! And it's still going strong! What a great investment. I have the black 27 oz. It's a little banged up and scratched on the bottom, but this has not compromised the effectiveness of the bottle. My biggest praises-- water tastes good (doesn't taste like plastic); it does not smell bad like some water bottles do after not washing them for a while; the cap screws on well, making it leakproof; the cap makes it easy to tie/clip to backpack. The 27 oz is suitable for me because it's slim. It's fits in most cup holders, backpack pockets or even a big purse.

The last convenient feature--flip the cap over, and you can use it as a shot glass! ;)

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size

After some very thorough research for a new rain jacket, I purchased the Patagonia Torrentshell. I compared it to the North Face Venture and the Marmot Precip--the Torrentshell won by a landslide. I used this jacket mainly while paddling in Resurrection Bay in Seward, AK. When you put this puppy on, you immediately feel a difference in material. It does NOT feel like a trash bag. The material is light, durable and comfortable. Armpit vents add great ventilation. The pockets are zippered, perfect for storing things you don't want to lose. Jacket stores inside itself--this was integral for backpacking, as I had limited room in my backpack. The hood has a stiff visor making it ideal for keeping precipitation off your face. The sleeves have velcro fasteners allowing you to cinch down the wrist cuffs. My favorite detail was the fleece lined zipper chin chin guard and fleece lined neck. It was such a subtle detail, but it made wearing a rain jacket 10x cozier. I am 5ft, 115 lbs, 34 bust. Size small fits great with room for layering.

Versatile towel! Bath towel, kitchen towel, beach towel. I find it convenient to have at least one of these whenever I travel. They pack so well and dry pretty fast. The little loop on the corner is actually way more useful than you might think. It's perfect for hanging to dry or attaching it to the outside of your pack. Warning: it does smell after a while. But hey, when you're camping, you generally smell anyway.

I've had this tent for a several years now, and I couldn't be happier! I have many praises about this tent with little negative feedback. First, I love the two vestibules. It makes getting out to pee in the middle of the night a cinch, as you don't have to roll over your partner and wake them up. Also having two vestibules is great for maximizing tent space by storing gear outside (but still out of the rain/snow/dust). The tent packs small and light enough to fit in my 65L pack. Setting up the tent is easy! It's intuitive and fast. There is one main pole and another smaller pole at the end. There are two mesh pockets inside for storing quick access stuff like headlamp, knife, baby wipes. All this for a totally reasonable price. You won't be disappointed. My only warning- I am 5ft, 115 lbs. I usually share this tent with my boyfriend who is 6ft 180 lbs. We fit comfortably; however, two grown men or two large ladies might feel this 2 person to be a squeeze.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I bought this mask specifically because I thought the graphics were rad. But when you put the face mask on, the graphics get all scrunched up, and it's hard to tell what you're looking it. I ordered the "Babe" design, but it just looks like bunch of colors with three vent holes as the focal point. (Kinda makes it look like a girl with a pig nose.) While the product seemed great-- durable soft fabric and constructed well, I returned it for vain reasons.
