Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs large
Height: 5' 5"
Weight: 125 lbs
Size Purchased: XS

Bottom line - I run cold and this jacket keeps me warm! I use it for everything: downhill skiing, backcountry skiing, travel (folds down into the inside pocket making a perfect little pillow), cross country skiing, camping, hiking, etc. The jacket runs a bit big. I am almost 5'-5" and am 125lbs with zero bustline. I got the XS after ordering the Small and sending it back because I looked shapeless. Even with the XS, I can still get all my ski layers under it - and did I mention WARM!!!!! I washed it easily in the washer and dried it with a tennis ball in the dryer and it came out like new. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I got these on sale and really like them. I use them for downhill skiing but I can see using them for winter hiking and snowshoeing for sure. They are relatively thin, waterproof, warm, and practical. The details and fit are great. I am 5'5" and 125 and got a 4. They are a bit too long but acceptable. Hope they last 10 years.

I was looking for a warm, waterproof, sturdy ski jacket. Arcteryx makes the best stuff, but this jacket was way too thin for me. Probably my own fault, I should have read that this is best for "sunny ski days". I returned the jacket. I would have loved to have kept it for spring skiing but at almost $400, I couldn't do it.
