Zach Winkel's Bio

I'm a college student looking to seek out adventure in the world after graduating. One of my majors is Spanish, and with that, I hope to get somewhere out of the US to work promoting literacy within children of the western hemisphere-particular Central/South America. Hoping to work in areas of beautiful, natural landscape I prepare myself by getting out on hikes/bike rides whenever an opportunity presents itself.

I saw "Hail to the King", and immediately thought this was the pack I would need, but I don't think so...could someone clear up doubts for me? I'm gonna be backpacking from the Northern part of Central America to Colombia. I'm expecting the journey to be 6 months(probably less). Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

Hey guys/gals;
I am looking into purchasing this jacket for my trip to Colombia, and I was just curious if someone had a size recommendation for me... I'm 5'10" and 170lbs. I don't like wearing things too loosely, but I don't want something that will limit my movement while out on hikes. This would probably be an everyday use jacket for me because I'm not too big on having more than what I need. Also, are there are any other torrentshells you could recommend, or is this one a pretty solid everyday/trail jacket?
Thanks!

Let me be clear, the only complaint I have with this bag is the zippers. They can be a pain to close occasionally, dependent on your positioning. However, other than struggles with the zippers every once in a while, there is not much I can say against this bag. Overall it is real solid. There is plenty of room for a wide variety of items, and even works well as a school bag. The only real concern I had was regarding the material and how it holds up in rain. From the experiences I have had with it, thus far, the bag holds well in the rain. It keeps your things dry and does a nice job of brisking rain drops away. Finally, as far as comfortability, the vents and straps allow for a wide range of comfort zones that cater to what you are looking for. Happy trails!
