Last pair was the full metal jacket - still have 'em. But these puppies are my new favorites. Nice snug but comfortable fit.
Great visibility, airflow, comfort, etc. I found the lens to scratch fairly easily. good thing they interchange so easily!
From cutting board to whisk, to utensils, to ladel, this kit has it all. the case is made of a sturdy, form-keeping material so you dont have to worry about squashing stuff when you pack. in fact, there was plenty of room for much more like lighters, firestarters, additional spices, and more.
it comes as a stiff, yet pliable, plastic coated fabric material that stands up nicely on it's own. this makes folding non-trivial - not hard, but it is more bending it into your sack or pocket as opposed to folding.
This is a great sleeping bag for our little ones (3yo and 6yo). They stay as comfortable as if they were in their own beds.
Make sure you buy the sleeping pad (not included) ... without it, the bottom of the bag is just fabric. Having said that, the pad does slip onto the bottom of the bag and stays in place so it won't roll around and feels more like a tightly tucked comforter.
I was quite impressed at the number of items in the set in such a compact form. Everything nestles into the largest size pot - felt like a Russian nesting doll ... there was more and more and more.
The description above says there are 4 mugs. There are 4 mugs (with tops to keep the coffee hot) but each is nested in another drinking cup so you actually have 8 cups.
The drawback is that there is only 1 detachable handle that can get a bit hot on a camp stove ... so switching multiple pots around is a bit cumbersome.
Solid stove. Like most camp stoves, the stove-top burner is pretty hot (slightly controllable at the low-end with a steady hand). The grill side burns at a lower rate since it covers more area (it is about twice the size of the stove top) - makes a great place to simmer foods. Hence, a great combo package for the gourmet - heats up fast on the stove-top and slower simmering on the grill side to allow the flavor meld together!
I bought the Maxi and Micro Version of this chair from Lafuma. We bought the Maxi for the adults and the Micro for the kids for our basecamp setup. As it turns out, the Maxi is very large and the Micro is very compact.
The Maxi is large. When sitting in it, I could barely touch my feet to the ground from the front lip (I am 5'5") and my head didn't clear the back of the chair at all (which did make it nice for a post-hike nap). It was quite the comfort to lounge in but it just felt a tad too big for me.

The Micro was a perfect size for the kids at basecamp. Light, easy to move around and comfortable enough to feel like you havent sacrificed comfort in the great outdoors. The chair does fit an adult amazingly well enough too (both my wife and I are on the smaller size at 5'5"). Felt downright sturdy and comfy. Works well as a campfire chair for an adult but not so well as the "lean-back and lounge" chair.
Great option to prevent their slobber from getting over your mouthpiece - get their own. Our kids are proud to carry their own stuff. The fit was good even for my 3 year old (cinched down to the smallest fit).
The only drawback I see in the Skeeter is the mouthpiece. Soft rubber is very enticing for the orally fixated child to chew. After a few good chomps, the rubber wont retain the water so well. Since it is the same mouthpiece that other Camelbaks have, it is easy to replace - just wish I didnt have to...
I bought this version as well as the maxi version of the LaFuma chair. The maxi is larger than I would ideally want and this is smaller than I would ideally want for myself. It fits the kids very well and I feel it is plenty strong enough to support a full sized adult.
This chair feels like it cradles you. When I sit in it, the back is clear above my head and my feet barely touch the ground. It is comfortable but slightly large for me.
I love these gloves for all the features it has (not included in the description above is a soft material on the outer right glove to wipe your nose. It keeps me warm and dry and i love the the removable liner glove for a bit extra warmth on those colder days - the liners works great on its own too.
For me the only drawback was that it ran a bit long for my fingers making dexterity a bit tough.
Feet stay warm and dry. Fit is comfortable.
I like the speed zone lacing (pull on 2 strings on either side of the boot to tighten and lock the laces - one side controls above the foot while the other side controls the shin laces).
I would say the only drawback to this lacing system is the extra string that you have to tuck into the boot once you've tightened it. There is a nice little slot for lace handles to fit into but the excess string you end up with feels messy to deal with. This is a minor complaint and overall does not detract away from the performance or value of the boot.
These lounge pants are so soft and comfy.
