So I have been lusting over Arc'teryx jackets for years, not able to bring myself to buy one until this year. After getting soaked for the last time in wet snow in my mid level Helly Hansen last season (great jacket for the $125 clearance price tag) I was ready for some change. I am super picky about my snow jacket, need a high zipper so my nose is covered. This is the only one I could find that had a high neck, don't other people want to save their face from winter elements? The hood is big and fits well over my helmet. This jacket is lightweight and moves well. It is semi fitted, so get a size bigger so you can layer. I like that it has light insulation, very versatile. Wore this in wet Mt. Baker snow, stayed dry on top, the bottom half of me got soaked, my North Face snowpants need to be replaced with some Arc'teryx snowpants. I wish this jacket had wrist gators. Really my only complaint aside from the cost. I am sure this jacket will last me for many years due to its great quality.
