Got these for hiking and disc golfing in the PNW winter. Been using them for about 2 months now, and can report back-- pretty good. They do take some breaking in (got hot spots on my Achilles and pinky toe) and they are a little on the bulky side. I would not use them for running, as they are too heavy for my taste. Moreover, as I am a forefoot striker, they have too much of a heel-toe drop to comfortably run. However, they have kept my feet dry after walking through some gnarly muddy/wet conditions, and they are quite grippy on most surfaces...mossy and wet logs/rocks might be the exception to this rule, but that's true of every shoe I've ever owned.

I was thinking these pants would look a bit baggy (like hiking pants...e.g. prAna Stretch Zion) but they are actually fitted throughout the leg, and end up looking fairly fashionable. I've had them for the weekend, so I have yet to really break 'em in (usually this evolves riding my bike a good bit and otherwise walking around town), but so far so good.

I have what I would call athletic thighs (playing ultimate, riding my bike all the time, hiking and running), and the pants are a little tights in the thighs, but with the stretch are comfortable enough. They run a little long, but I just fold them up at the bottom and they look fine (I'm on the small side of 30x30). I feel comfortable wearing them at work in a "business casual" office (by west coast standards, so take that with a grain of salt).

I'm happy so far. If I blow them out in month while biking to the store for milk, I'll report back.

Another Oregonian here...yep, I rock them all winter with hiking and playing disc golf. I play A LOT of winter golf (the courses are always empty!) and you always encounter every type of terrain. These shoes hold up great, and keep me dry. They're light, they grip, and when my current ones wear out, then I will probably be getting another pair.

pretty good, and pretty comfortable. They might be tight at first, but they loosen up. a lot. the foot bed is made of a soft, pliable material...comfortable, but it quickly compresses to the form of your foot. this is good and bad. while it creates a nice, custom fit, they also tend to slip off. there's just too much space. also, they run small...i normally wear 9.5's, so i got the 10's, and my foot barely fits on the shoe.

i enjoy them though, and they are comfortable. so as long as you go a size larger than you normally would, I think you'll be in good shape.

The pants seemed ok...they are a rough canvas/denim fabric. Seemed tough. They are fairly baggy. I normally wear a 32-30, so I ordered the 32's and they are big on me. Like ultra baggy pajama pants. Also, I order the dark olive color, expecting a dark brown tone...they are green. A dark green. So head's up there. I am returning.
