Adrian Ballinger, Marmot Athlete and Owner/Operator of Alpenglow Expeditions (http://www.alpenglowexpeditions.com), shows off some of the Marmot gear he's using while guiding Manaslu - the eighth highest peak in the world. He shot the video while at 23,000 ft, wearing Kaenon Lewi and Marmot gear, another of his sponsors
I wear these daily and love them. The black/tortoise is darker looking that it is in the photo above, definitely not as bright looking. I've taken these hiking, stand up paddling, through two summers at the beach, running, etc. and they still look brand new. No scratches, no delaminating of the lenses, the frames are still in the exact same shape as when I first got them (no warping at all) and I leave them in my hot car all the time. Couldn't recommend a better sunglass. Seriously everyone that I let try them on wants a pair.
Adrian Ballinger, Marmot Athlete and Lead Guide for Alpenglow Expeditions and Himalayan Experience, reached three 8,000 Meter summits in three weeks in May, 2011. First while assisting in rope-fixing Mt. Everest (29,035 feet), then while guiding clients up Mt. Everest, and finally while guiding clients up Lhotse (27,940 feet). Along the way Adrian filmed his journey - here are some of those clips.

I've used them. They are definitely "brighter," but they still reduce glare like you'd expect from Kaenon's lenses. On cloudy days I prefer G28, but sometimes I'll also wear them during bright sunny days, especially during non-mid-day activities when the sun isn't as intense. They've worked great for me. Hope that helps!
