the GREAT state of TEXAS! Mineral Wells, Big Bend, E-Rock, Palo Duro
I really love this pack! It's my first Osprey and I'm definitely impressed with the build quality and thoughtful design. I live in Texas where temps easily reach 100+ F, so the vented back was a key component for me... and let me tell you it's a life saver. I'm 6 ft 165 lbs and the size Medium fits me just fine (see the sizing chart...as the size really depends on your torso length). I did a 4 day backpacking trip in the Lincoln National Forest with about 45-55 lbs load and was very pleased with the packs performance.
I love how small this thing packs down! I'm a semi-ultralight kinda guy but I still like to be comfortable and this is just the ticket. I've had mine for several years now and it's performed flawlessly. I adjust the level of firmness by laying on the pad and letting air out until it feels right. The fabric is a bit more noisy than other "cloth" type pads out there but I think the benefits far outweigh that (I move around quite a lot in my sleep and the noise hasn't bothered me that much). Definitely recommended.
I've only used it a couple times... and I wasn't too impressed. I got a lot of coffee grinds in my cup every time. It may be I have to practice my technique a little. However, I do have a french press at home and I never have this problem.
All my friends are jealous. Boils water super fast, packs down small, and it's amazingly efficient...it's like a jet powered Transformer Prius...stove. I love it! The fry pan is nice and so is the included plate (but the utensils suck, just get some TI Ware). I'm good for about 5-8 weekend camping trips on just one fuel can.
I've used these shoes pretty hard for two years now and they're still going strong. The break in period was minimal, and the style is excellent (I actually got a lot of compliments). The only thing I'll say is that the waterproofing seems to be "just ok"...definitely better than a normal tenni but if you're planning on trekking through shallow brooks, puddles, and streams then you should really get a pair of boots.
*These do breath well (I live in Texas...it's hot)
I toyed with the idea of getting a rope bag for a long time...I'm so glad I did! It keeps the rope clean and together (especially for dropping a top rope climb), the ground tarp keeps the rope out of the dirt while belaying, and the tie loops make it so easy and quick to just throw the rope in and move on to the next route! I've used mine for about a year now and it's held up great. Recommended.
I love these things! The price is right and they perform just as good as ANYTHING out there...basically the other more expensive ones out there are just a tad lighter and may have slightly different bends on the biners. I liked 'em so much I just bought a second set. Black Daimond is my only choice for draws and biners.
Looks like there could be a problem with stitching on some of these socks, but it wouldn't be hard to repair. Regardless, these are the best socks I've had yet!
I've been wearing these socks for several weeks now and I can say they definitely do their job! Moisture-wicking is fantastic, odor control is great, and they fit true to size. The only problem I have is I noticed some weak spots in the stitching inside the ankle that could possibly fail over time. Overall, an AWESOME sock! Seriously, I have several pair of smartwool socks and these are WAY better...especially in hot weather (I live in Texas). I have a size 11-11.5 foot and the size LG fit perfect. Good buy!
I really like the Kuhl brand, and this is definitely one of their best! The fit is true to size (I'm 6ft 170lbs and medium was perfect). The fabric is very comfortable yet sturdy. The only thing I'd say as a warning is animal hair sticks to these pants pretty bad. The stitching and design is excellent and the pants look great! The cell phone pocket isn't that functional due to the fact that it doesn't have any button or velcro to keep your phone from falling out. I'm very happy with these pants and I think they'll last a long time.
I love Zees shorts zay are Z best! Seriously, great feeling fabric breathes very good but still feels rugged enough to take any camping/hiking/climbing trip head on. These shorts seem to be very well thought out as far as the pockets and the fit. My favorite thing is the adjustable waist...brilliant. USA made baby!
The 12in inseam means these actually fit like "normal" cargo shorts that most people are used to these days (the come all the way down to your knees). I'm 6ft 170lbs with a 32in waist and the size medium fit perfect.
If you do ANYTHING outdoors you should have one of these! This thing is not just for emergencies, it will light up the whole campsite. Fits in a case the size of a pack of gum which means it's perfect for backpacking. I'm so happy I bought this, and you will be too!

Men should not wear these. Seriously, these are SO SHORT that it's wrong. Also, the butt area is really big.
While the knife is nice... it did open in my pocket accidentally the first day! I was being pretty active and I was wearing basketball shorts so the fabric could've grabbed. I would say this is a nice knife for CASUAL outings, and NOT for active outings.
Man, for 24 bucks this knife rocks! Fits in your hand nicely and it looks killer. The spring loaded assist is a nice feature as well. CRKT is the best way to go for the money. Recommended!
I love this jacket! It's simple, it works great, and it packs nicely into it's own stow pocket (left pocket). The fit is exactly what I like... that is it comes to just below the waist on the front and tapers down in the back. I am 6ft 17lbs and size medium fits great (still has room for layers underneath but not too baggy at all). I got the Yam color and I love it! Can't beat the price!
Very comfortable, fit nicely (I'm 6ft, 170 lbs and size M is perfect). If you're looking for something that feels "rugged" these pants don't. Water seems to shed nicely, and I really like the draw cords on the ankles. A good HOT weather/ climbing pair of pants.
p.s. the belt works just fine for me, I haven't had any issues with it coming undone
Just clarifying on my last review... I am 6ft, 175 lbs and the size Medium fits perfect.
