Tommy Nankervis's Bio

Coffee wakes me up after I get up. My legs usually drive me after I get on my bike, but if an automotive is my transport for the day, then usually that will be the driving force. I am from Melbourne, Australia, and I am going places; not too sure where, but when I am there I will let you know!
Oh, it's the coffee shop, I am going to the coffee shop...

We were looking for a fork mount roof carrier system to fit our Forester factory roof racks, and ended up going for these. They are the best roof racks I have used. They lock the bikes, there is a cut out for disc brakes if you're a MTB'er, they look great, and they are really easy to use. I can't say much more, but these are the best product I've bought this year.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I bought these to keep my hands warm while cycling. Before I used them, I also ordered the gore-tex heli glove. I thought that because of the wind chill on my hands while out cycling, the gore-tex would just give me that little bit extra warmth that these ones might not. I didn't test ride these ones though. They were more comfortable that the gore-tex version, and the liner is also removable. So my 4 stars is based purely on an assumption that the gore-tex would give me better wind protection when the temperature is a fair way under freezing. I think for most non-cyclists, this pair of gloves would do the trick

I bought this to complete my wife's townie. Her bike is already cool as, but when I saw this, I had to buy it. Super cool, and looks great. The inside of the holder has a nice foam lining to give extra grip on the portable coffee mug, and also to prevent any scratches on it too. I'm a big fan and so is she.

I bought this last month to monitor my heart rate while training for Tour of Utah. It is the most basic heart rate monitor available here, but that was all I wanted it for. It never missed a beat the whole time I was wearing it! For the basic means I was looking for, this is the perfect heart rate monitor, and I am already planning on using it cross training in the off-season too.

As with all Louis Garneau clothing, this jersey is going to be a fantastic addition to your cycling wardrobe. It has a great cut, and super comfortable material. It is a replica of our RealCyclist.com Pro Team jersey. The only difference is probably the white zip as opposed to our black one. The pockets are a great size and easily accessible, and of course, you will be styling in the coolest looking team jersey of season 2011!

I love these shoes. They are so light and so comfortable. Usually if you combine those two things, you are left with an under-performing shoe in terms of power transfer, but these shoes are super-stiff and all power goes straight to the pedals! There is also a non-slip thingy in the heel cup which really works well. I love doing these shoes up as tight as possible towards the end of a race, and they remain just as comfortable.

These are the TT shoe cover choice of the RealCyclist.com pro team. A handful of us wear these in criteriums and road races too. They are pretty tight around the top, but that can make them hard to get off after racing! They definitely look cool and work well. One of the good things about them is the velcro underneath is adjustable, and can be trimmed to minimise material too. There is also a little bit of tougher material in the toe area so that you don't wear a hole in any of the lycra.
