Another good meal from Mountain House. It's a good idea to cook it a little longer than the suggestion, because every time I've stuck with the suggested time my noodles come out a little north of soft.
Personally, I prefer some of their other meals over this one but this is a great option to keep you from running on empty.
I finally picked this up after suffering many a freezing night in low-quality inexpensive bags and eyeing my dad's Western Mountaineering bag with envy every morning.
My dad has had this bag for 15 years and it still looks like the day he bought it. As a testament to their timelessness, when I got mine and laid it next to his they were exactly the same, just a different color on the back. The down quality, stitching and fill are all the same, and rightfully so. They make a great bag and haven't lowered the quality of their materials over time like many of their competitors.
Keep it up, Western Mountaineering. You're a great American company.
It's hard to go wrong with a stylish knit of heavy duty wool. The inside is lined with fleece so you're not itching all day, and it's sure to keep you warm all night.
I have a pretty big head and the fit was fine. Looks great on men and women.
A medium. The sizing will still allow you to wear the Denali under your Venture shell.
Yeah, it's probably better to go with the M/L so you're in the middle of the range.
Yeah, this jacket comes a little further down on your legs and offers a little more protection from the cold. They are pretty similar though. This one is slightly warmer.
This shoe is not waterproof and it isn't made with Gore-Tex. It's well ventilated with a mesh upper, which means that your foot can get plenty wet.
You probably want a medium, unless your waist is pretty small.
Luckily, Backcountry has an unlimited return policy, so if they don't fit you can swap them for a small!
I just got this in the Asphalt Grey color, and it's definitely more of a shiny finish. It's not matte.
I've been super happy with these shoes. I've tried out a few pairs of minimalist shoes, and they all seem to give me blisters after six miles except these. These fit my feet really well. The band across the front is great, and helps the shoe stay put. I like it, and I hope New Balance keeps that around in future models.
I've been using this for the past six months and I love it. It's vacuum insulated, so the cold stuff stays cold forever. Like they mentioned before though, the insulation takes up some of the room, so you end up with not a lot of space for your beverage. 16oz is plenty for me though. You heavy drinkers might want to consider sizing up...
I had been using an older CamelBak bladder forever, since I prefer it over other bladders. I got some new Antiodote bladders to put in some new backpacks, and I love them!
The divider is awesome. It prevents it from sitting awkwardly in your pack like a balloon, and makes it easier to handle.
The Quick-snap cap that tightens with just a quarter turn is great, and saves my thumb from the pain of trying to screw caps on.
Bottom line: Awesome product. You will definitely be happy with it.
This has been a great backpack for ultralight hiking or trail running. It's got just enough room for a light jacket and some small accessories when the bladder is completely full.
Some of the material on this feels weak, but that's primarily because they're trying to shave weight. The straps are a little flimsy and the waist strap isn't meant to support a lot of weight for a long time, but it's great for minimalist use.
Bottom line: You can't beat CamelBak. They make a great hydration pack. This is one of them.
Com certeza vai chegar ai! Nos enviamos para o Brazil. Chegaria la daqui duas ou tres semanas.
If you're way into shaving weight and ultralight biking. This is not the lock for you. It's hefty, and would make a great weapon against potential bike thieves as mentioned above.
That said, it does a great job of protecting bikes! It's inexpensive, portable, and easy to take on or off.
If price is more of an issue to you than weight, then get it!
Update: After several months of use, I have to say I really like this lock. It's still heavy as can be, but definitely makes me feel secure.
The shark color is a very dark grey.
The water bottle pockets are on both sides.
You can fit a Nalgene, but depending on how packed your pack is, it can be a tight squeeze. It keeps it from falling out easily.
These shoes are my go-to shoe for...everything. I have three pairs of these and I wear them everywhere. The blucher style of these shoes fits me better than the other Vans styles due to my wide wheels, but it also makes them a lot more comfortable.
Plus, I always get compliments from the ladies when I wear them.
You'll love these shorts. The four-way stretch polyester makes them supremely comfortable and lets you move freely when you're throwing a tantrum. Admit it, you'd hate to have stiff shorts hindering your steeze, especially when you're throwing it behind a boat full of lovely ladies in bikinis.
Gotta love the white color scheme. It will leave that boat full of ladies swooning, and leave them looking longingly in your direction when you tell them that you're moving away for the summer to work at a wakeboard camp. It's okay though, you'll be back in time to take them all out at the end of the summer.
Who knows, maybe you could even have a special one-on-one wakeboard lesson with them...
P.S. I ended up returning them because they were a little to short. I prefer a 22 inch inseam, just because I have to keep my magical thighs under wraps.
