Tom Murphy's Bio

I learned to ski on the arctic blue ice of Whiteface while working at NYSEF. During that time, I was fortunate to be surrounded by some of the best coaches and junior athletes in the US, which as shaped my perception of skiing to this day. And while I am no longer on the hill 120 days a year, I did make the move to Park City to be in the mountains. Livin' the dream and happy to have swapped the blue ice for fluffy powder.

During those unfortunate months when there is no snow, you can find me out exploring Utah - hiking and mountain biking.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Easily holds my boots, a layer or two, helmet, googles and gloves in the main compartment. It is my go to rally bag that I toss in the truck before heading out. At the end of the day I don't care about putting the snow covered boots back inside since it has the drain holes.

More pockets, zippers and pouches than you will ever use. I keep finding all sorts of things I stuffed in them when I first got it.

Note: This sucker is big. If you are looking for a carry-on or you will only need to carry a jacket and hat, this is not for you. But if you are like me and can never decide what to bring to the mountain and end up packing half of what you own, then this is the bag for you.

I was in the market for a light weight, light insulation and wind proof jacket for chilly spring resort skiing. This fits the bill perfect. Nice cut, wide cuffs, great length. I got the Large, which fits me well. (Im 6' 1" & 190 lbs).

Note: If you're a ninja, this jacket is not for you.
- It is crinkly. Forget being stealthy.
- I got the PaintBrush Red and it really should be called Traffic Cone Orange. Forget blending in unless of course you are ninja-ing near road construction.
- Zipper pulls feel small. Pocket access will be a bit awkward.
