Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size

First off, the 'storm' color is a purplish gray, and not nearly as dark as the picture shows. Can't ding Arcteryx for that. No problem. This is the only hoodie I own, and I am very happy with it. It's a medium-weight stretch fleece with a smooth outer layer. Fit is athletic. I am 5'9 180 and it fits great. Appearance is like a regular full-zip hoodie, only a whole lot nicer. The hood is extra large and double thickness -- you won't look like a teletubby if you use it. Zippered side pockets are a good call. The only thing that would make this jacket better is a chest pocket, but overall it's really great. Michigan has been extra cold this November, and having that hood to flip up has been much appreciated. A winner.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I just love these, and have 3 of them. The 100-weight fleece definitely fills a niche, and is surprisingly warm under a shell. Very light, looks great, and or course very well made. I'm 5'9" 180# and the medium fits like it's custom made. Can't recommend these enough.

These absolutely rock. I had one that I wore just about every cold day for 10 years and never could wear the thing out. Ended up giving it to a homeless person, and expect to get a fresh one for Christmas (right, Honey?) :-)

Sure they cost more than other fleeces, but given the durability and quality, there is nothing else even close. Not all fleece is created equal!
