Good lamp in terms of brightness. It's incredibly bright and has great features. Red LED, bright spot light, more wide angle light, and it has a dimming function which I use quite often. However, it seems to eat batteries. It goes through a few brand new batteries and in less than about 4 hours of use, the lights starts to get pretty weak.

Great bag! It was my bag on a cross country cycling trip, and it was light enough and warm enough. If you want to get caught up in constantly looking for the next lightest, warmest thing, go for it. Or you could stick with a slightly heavier bag which performs perfectly well, for a great price. It went as low as -7 and I was still cozy. Keep a wool hat and extra socks in your tent just in case.

I traded in a MEC Wanderer 2, for this tent, 2 weeks into a cycling trip across Canada. I love so many things about this tent. It's incredibly light, weighing in the 3-4lb category. It was very easy to pack up and set up every single night and morning. I like the single pole set up better, for setting the tent up without help. I was a little weary about the canopy being completely mesh and it still being able to perform as a 3 season tent, but those worries were soon squashed. We even downgraded to zero degree sleeping bags and were cozy when the temperature dropped as low as -7 in Kenora, Ontario. The tent is a little smaller then the Wanderer, but still plenty roomy (the Wanderer was actually unusually large for a 2 person tent). The fly is a very unique design which performed well under extreme winds (50-60km/hr) and over 16 hours of continuous rain. I also really like the colour of the tent. When you have to stealth camp, and you don't want your tent to be seen, it can be hard with some of the tents out there. This one is not overdone with reflective ribbing to look like a spaceship whenever light hits it in the dark. It also helps that the fly is a subtle dark green. Overall, I am extremely happy with this tent. It performs very well in the elements at a competitive weight.
