Ted Failswrote a review of Marmot PreCip Jacket - Men's on January 29, 2012
Light, comfortable and functional, but with two problems.
The first is their choice of web material for the pockets. If you toss your keys in there your key ring will get caught in the mess about 1/3 of the time. Reminds me of my favorite rock climbing pants which I loved except for the stupid mesh pockets.
Second thing is the sleeve cuffs. Nice that they thought to provide velcro gathers to close over a wide range of gloves, but the cuff diameter itself only allows entry of my down ski gloves with a ridiculous struggle. Just not a well executed design.
I still give the coat a thumbs up, but with just a little bit of someone actually using the thing prior to mass production, they could have had a real winner.
