Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It's a great split(nice shape, great quality) but K2 is being sneaky wth this one. The 2012 and 2013 are identical except for the new tweakends tech on the 2013. Some shops are not listing the year, or are listing 2012's as 2013's.Why pay full price for last year's board with less tech? The only way to tell for sure which one you got is by the serial number. 2011-2012 models start with an '11' and the 2012-2013 starts with a '12'

I got this set for snowboarding since I thought the j-hook mount would work like the helmet front mount...but it doesn't. So I ended up ordering the front mount anyways. I guess I should have gotten the regular set to get the head strap, but oh well. Before ordering look hard at the different mounts to figure out which you will need. The camera is the same in all sets.
The footage looks amazing. I'm currently editing my first vid and that is taking a long time. Editing HD clips sucks!
I also really like the housing. It's so nice to be able to use it in a heavy snowstorm and not worry about the camera.

These are pretty good bindings. The pad underfoot feels softer than on the malavitas but is still responsive. The straps are great and the hole in the highback makes it easy to carry lol. Not sure these give me increased boardfeel or not. They are comfortable and feel great.

The only crappy thing about these is the lack of side to side adjustment on 4x2 boards. With the malavitas you can turn the plate sideways but with these obviously you can't. If you have an ics board though, it shouldn't matter.

Basically, with bindings, if I can crank them tight and not have to think about them all day then they are doing their job. I only notice bad bindings when the straps loosen or things break. So, with that in mind, I can safely say that these are great bindings.

This is a great glove but it does have its faults. The suede patch on the back of the hands (where it says 'ak') is a stupid idea. snow sticks to it and makes it cold. I normally just wear the stretch glove with it and this makes my hands cold! We don't need the suede for looks!
Also, get the nikwax on the leather from day 1 because it gets damaged easily

Amazing jacket for backcountry boarding. pockets are huge and well placed. I really like the stretchy back! The hood fits over my helmet (red hifi size m). I can't tell you how comfortable I've been in howling winds with this on.
The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars though is the crappy powder skirt. It is completely useless as it rides up all the time. This is not too important though if you've got a pack on since the waist belt keeps your jacket close.

First the fit. This was my biggest worry when ordering this jacket off the net (since it's so expensive!). I'm an XL and the XL fits me perfectly. L is just too small. Next, the build quality. Awesome. The only bad part about it is the elastic bit that you pull on to tighten the powderskirt sticks out...but it's not really a big deal. Being a snowboarder, I was worried that this jacket might be too 'skier-ish' for me, but no, it looks really good and doesn't hurt my snow-cred. This jacket is real expensive but oh, so worth it, so since you're taking the time to read this you know you want it! Just pull the trigger!
