Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These tires came stock on my Scott Scale Pro 29er. They handle great and were an easy tubeless conversion. I have had two sidewall tears on these tires though, riding on trails that were predominantly buffed out. One was salvageable with an inner patch but I am super paranoid riding around any rocks/talus. Probably will go with Schwalbe's snakeskin sidewalls going forward.

I have been a long-time La Sportiva boot user. Started off with the Makalus, then had the Karakorams for a while. Both of those boots were pretty heavy and in the case of the Makalus, took about a solid month of backpacking to finally break in. I was looking for a great boot that was relatively light versus the prior boots yet provided the same stiffness and ROM without taking forever to break in. The Trangos delivered in all criteria. I will say this though, don't use this boot for backpacking in lower elevations during the height of Summer. Your feet will cook. This is a boot for bagging technical peaks, doing some technical work on mixed snow, rock and ice at moderate elevations.

Picked these boots up as my daily driver for resort and backcountry skiing. Couldn't be happier with my choice. Boots are ultralight for touring but charge hard on the resort hard pack.
Out of the box, these boots were ready to roll. I haven't done the thermo molding process yet. Fit was great.
Walk mode is great compared to other boots I have used and you can literally extend your leg in walk mode so there is no forward lean. Pretty great for walking around in the backcountry.
Overall, couldn't be happier with the comfort and stiffness of these boots. You will not be disappointed.
