Thanks for the response! I'm eyeing up either these or the MH Winter Wander Softshell for this upcoming winter. I'm close to buying one of them, but can't decide.
For anyone who has experience with these, would these be a good buy for outdoor winter activities like skating, playing hockey, shoveling, etc? In other words, are they warm enough to withstand 5-10 degree temps if I'm being somewhat active?
Any insight is appreciated.
Unfortunately I'll be returning this because I purchased the wrong size. I bought a large and it is just a little too big in the chest and abdomen for me. A medium size will probably fit me perfectly and I will be watching for when these go on sale again. It was wishful thinking of me in the first place to buy the discounted large size hoping it would fit (I read all the positive reviews and believed them ... they are accurate).
Anyway, like I said, I will be buying this at some point because the fabric is just so comfortable. It's really soft. The wife loved it, but I bought the wrong size.
This is a great light weight t-shirt. It is probably the lightest weight shirt I own now. I'm using it primarily for running/jogging outside in hot weather and I think it works great. The thin material dries very quickly too; thus far I've only let it air dry after a wash and haven't been disappointed. I'm 6'1" and ~185 lbs and the medium size fits perfect. I'm a medium in most North Face products.
I'm not sure how much I can write about a pair of boxers, but I really like these. I'm 6'1" and about 185 lbs and I usually wear pants with a waist of 34 to 36 inches. I bought the large size of these and I love the fit. I was getting really fed up with the cotton boxers riding up and I'm not a huge fan of the super tight fitting boxer-brief style (i.e., like the UA Boxer Jock, or a pair of Tommy Johns). These fit the bill. Great soft material. I'm not sure if they'll shrink in the dryer because I've only washed them a few times, but I'm planning on drying them on low heat just to be sure.
I just received this hoodie and have worn it a few times. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. I bought this looking for something very lightweight that will keep the bugs off me at night during the summer. It certainly accomplishes that. I live in Minnesota and we get our fair share of mosquitoes at night. Thus far, I don't know if it's just by virtue of having long sleeves on that helps keep the bugs off, or the new 'Insect Blocker' technology that Columbia is now marketing. Either way, it serves it's purpose without overheating you. It is very lightweight; I'd feel comfortable hiking through the woods in this because I know I won't sweat too much in it like some other sweatshirts.
I think the fit is relatively true to size. If you know your size in anything else from Columbia, it will probably translate to this as well. I'm 6'2" and my weight ranges from 182 - 185 lbs; my chest is 41 - 42 inches. I bought a medium and I like how it fits. The zipper is a little stubborn to get started, but that's my only critique. Overall, I'd recommend it.
