I like all the little things about this jersey. The reflective strips sewn into the forearm seams are really neat, the sleeves have plenty of length to use the thumb holes and the fabric is as soft as pajamas. My only complaint would be that the silicone gripper on the back is way heavier than the knit. Heavy enough that it'll flop around sometimes, but at least you know your lower back will be covered.
Now, the sizing. For reference I'm 5'10" and 165 and usually wear a Large in Capo or Castelli and the like. I ordered two sizes so I could find a good fit. The Small fit very form-fit (which you may want) and I could've kept it, but it wouldn't be as useful for biking somewhere and looking casual once I get there. The Medium fits me like I was expecting a large in euro sizes to fit. It shrunk a tiny bit from the first wash (I dried it flat), so the chest/waist are good now but there's still plenty of length in the arms and torso. So, size down 1 from your bike gear size.
You should probably get one of these before they 're gone.
Darn. I was hoping for a 5-finger liner so I could pull double duty with it. Thanks though.
First off, these just make you look like a bike messenger. The strategic padding is pretty nice and it's really well ventilated. The terry cloth is quite a nice touch. The claspless design fits really well. I'm not sure I'd be down for paying full-price as some of the padding feels a little cheap, but as I did off off bonktown I'm very pleased with them.
My only concern is how well they'll hold up to time, and I have no idea because it's only been a week. We'll see.
I'm saddened they didn't throw the Midwest a bone with one of these hats. Is this not a question? Ohhh well.
If any drop in gas mileage, it'll be much less severe than a roof rack.
The mustard (as opposed to the other colors) looks to have snaps on the neck instead of a zipper. Does the whole jacket have snaps or is there a zipper below there?
This thing does its intended purpose very well. It has good sound quality and is nigh indestructible. The fade in/out effect when powering up/down is a nice touch I think. I've used it wakeboarding and skiing with success. Battery life is excellent (partially due to no screen probably). Mine has to get at least 10 hours on a full charge.
There aren't many cons. Sometimes when it's in my pocket the play button will get pushed and it will be playing for a long time without me knowing. I certainly don't have a problem with pushing the buttons when I mean to. Also the included headphones are not the greatest sounding, but what other headphones do you have that can work underwater?
