Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 175 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium

Very nicely sized and stuffed 700 fill jacket with great zippers and lots of pockets. Nothing lightweight or packable here but if you need a jacket with a stronger weather-resistant outside shell and sleeve/thumb cuffs, this is a great place to start. While I gave up most skiing options years ago it still works for me when outside doing whatever outside in the white stuff. Its a very warm jacket with insulated hood. The hood could use an adjustable draw-string but other than that its got all the options covered. I will say that the sizing seems true to me, while not a tight medium its a perfect fit for me knowing I didn't want a jacket too snug that would make sitting while zipped up uncomfortable-etc. I have no idea why backcrountry would describe this jacket as being perfect if/when using a shell over it- It's got treated down with a heavy shell fabric- No issues with snow or a wintery mix- rain not so much but that's besides the point. Don't need no stinking shell :) Cheers-

Had a swift cap a few years ago and it was great. Got the 2016 version and it felt like I was wearing cheap cardboard on my head. Depth/size was small as well, in which it didn't even make it down to my ears felt like it was sitting on my head instead of actually being worn. Back adjustment doesn't allow it to get tight when its windy out. Returned for Sunday afternoon cap which is at least five times better in use of quality materials and fitment.

Not much information about this tent online, but it was onsale and seemed like a good deal. Spent 4 days up in Oregon on a very wet weekend. It sets up nicely, and although it’s freestanding it doesn’t sit well without being staked out so yes it can stand on its own but it’s not taut without using the stakes to expand its footprint. With that being said it withstood 4 days of rain just fine without any leakage or floor dampening. The dual vestibules are of a nice size and it has dual-zippers on the fly to vent. I had a few condensation molecules on the roof but stayed nice and dry- Although one of the narrowest two person tents I have seen it has abundant headroom which makes it easier to change clothes, pack-up. etc.
