Familiarity: I've used it several times
I was looking for a spring/fall light hiker crossover type shoe or boot to walk the dog and go for little hikes in. Picked these because they are light, waterproof/breathable, the reviews were generally quite good, and the price was right. They fit me true to size, and are pretty comfortable. It took a little bit to get used to the feel of them though. The outside of the heel feels a bit tall and angles my foot in, but it seems not to bother me anymore. Other than that, they are good. The only other thing I don't care for is the mid height. I didn't think a shoe would be tall enough, and didn't think I wanted a full boot. But either of the other style I find more comfortable, and a full boot would keep the snow out better. I find I keep wishing i wore my gaiters just for a little outing with the dog. But that is just my preference. these boots work the way they are supposed to though, keeping the water out (other than through the top), and have decent traction.
