Nathan's Bio

Orthopedic surgeon and ex ski patroller at Park City. I ski like an old man but still hike for my turns. I still believe in turning my skiis instead of 'smearing'

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm coming from a pair of K2 Coomback and some Dynafit Manaslu backcountry set ups and the pound or so I gained in weight (112mm underfoot) they more than paid off in downhill performance in a couple of months use in the Wasatch backcountry
The tip rocker makes them easy to dump speed quick and they still turn like a real ski (not those silly banana skis - full rocker-whatever)

I'm a big scarpa fan. After a brief foray into Garmont boots, I'm sold. Warm, comfy and no blisters. Because the boot flexes at the bellows, there is very little friction force at the heel. I've mounted Dynafit Manaslu skis and Dynafit bindings. For me, it's all about the up. I can ski almost any ski down the hill and have fun.
