Shawn Craig's Bio

Love skiing, mountain biking, hiking, backpacking and pretty much any outdoor activity. Recently I have really gotten into running rivers and have also just started to get back into running following some knee surgeries.

I've ridden the High Roller IIs on 26" and 27.5" wheels and liked them. I recently put these on my 29er and they feel a bit twitchy on the front. I've been running the Ardent in a 2.4 but decided to go with a more aggressive grip for a trip to Downieville. I've been having a hard time getting used to them and may just go back to the Ardent I was running.

That being said, these would probably work really well in dusty loose dry conditions.

I have had nerve issues and these grips have fixed that. They are great for long rides and rides of any distance if other grips give you discomfort. If you suffer from hand discomfort or nerve issues with standard grips, I highly recommend giving these a try. It can take a little bit to get the correct angle but don't be afraid to adjust them initially.

I really like these. They're cut well for pedaling. I wouldn't necessarily put them down as a relaxed fit. I found them to be more regular fit to fitted in the areas around your saddle. This is great for pedaling and keeps you from getting hung up on your seat. Great pockets and I like the zip vents in the front. They run true to size.

This jersey looks good and functions fine. I gave it three stars as there is nothing that puts it over the top or under in any way. It's a pretty straight forward poly jersey. I'd recommend it. the 3 quarter sleeves provide excellent coverage.

These shorts are great. The venting is a nice touch. They have two standard hand pockets in the front with a zipped front hand pocket as well. They run true to size and are definitely on the relaxed fit side of things. They have plenty of length to ensure there is no gap with pads.

I just got these. I prefer bibs under my baggies for moutain biking and these are great. The chamois is very comfortable, and I've done up to 50 mile days on it without issue.

I really like the light and airy feel of the mesh body of the bibs. Keeps things cooler than wearing a traditional bib under your shorts.

I was inbetween sizes (M and L). My waist measurement seemed to fit the M but height seemed more towards the L. I went with the L and I'm glad I did. They fit great.

This was my first foray into the Gluten Free Waffles from Honey Stinger. I purchased the Cinamon and they taste great. They seem to have a little softer texture than the regular Honey Stinger Waffles.
These are easy to eat while on the bike and are easy on the GI system. Highly recommend them when you need a quick sugary burst of energy.

These are on par with Ergon Grips at a better price point. I got these for my girl friend as she was having nerve issues. She loves them. I currently run Ergon's and will probably be giving these a try once I need to make the switch.

I really liked the look of this jersey so I decided to keep it but was disappointed with the size of the rear pocket. Ideally it would be big enough for my cell phone, as I likes to have my phone with me in case of injury.

I really like this jersey for decent length rides where I don't need a pack for water. It has ample pockets that are easy to access while riding. It fits comfortable and it true to size. It has what I would call a semi form fit. Not tight but not loose either. It fits true to the sizing chart but would probably size up from what you normally would buy in a traditional American sizing.

I bought these in my standard size 34. They fit great for riding Cross Country and Trail. If you're looking for a short to cover you knee pads or for mostly gravity fed riding, definitely size up or try a different short. These have a slim fit but the waist size was pretty much spot on for me. I appreciate the tighter fit as I'm able to move freely without getting caught up on anything.

I gave this bike to my girlfriend as a present and she loves me even more now! She loves the one x, it has also made her faster. If you need to put a water bottle cage on it the cables get in the way a bit so make sure to get a cage that is not a side loader. We had the best luck using a very basic Bontrager Bottle cage.

Just tried this for the first time in super dusty conditions. It worked great, quickly cleans your chain and kept my drive train running quiet in some pretty nasty dusty/sandy conditions.

In the past I've been partial to Progold Extreme but I'm pretty sold on the Rock N Roll Extreme now. I highly recommend this. It's very resistant to picking up contaminants and it kept my chain looking clean.
