I wear the muira in size 40 (2.5 sizes down from street) and I got the python's in size 40 as well. Both fit very tight however the python is more roomy in the forefoot, will stretch more and with the softer feel to the sole they are more comfortable out of the box. Basically, keep rocking your muira's comfy and go down a size for your python's.

I love the options for lenses, the clarity and field of view. The only downside is that the bridge of the nose is a little to tight which leads to some minor wind leakage around my nose (not an issue with the IO X) That being said I have two pairs of the IO. Also Smith has an excellent warrantee and fixed an old pair at no cost for shipping or anything.

I run 'em under my snow pants while snowboarding. The fit is a little off when I put them on but when they heat up a bit they get softer and I can hardly tell they're there... until I smash my shins into a rail and I ride away unscathed. The shin pad extends to the top of my snowboard boot (Burton Raptor) and rests there so they don't slide down at all but it doesn't seem like they would any way.

I bought them for spring riding but they were a little warmer than I expected. Super comfortable, lightweight spring glove feel but keeps my hands warm down to about 15/20 degrees. Also, they really do keep your hands dry.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This thing is crazy stiff but the flat camber keeps it playful. Great for big jumps, big pipes and going really fast in general. Floats well in the deep and cuts crud like a Hanzo sword. Only downsides are the price and the top sheet is way slick so your one foot tricks may require a stomp pad.

Merino wool breathes great and doesn't hold my breath stank in. Use it under my motorcycle, bicycle and snowboard helmets and it works great. Also, the cut is perfect, stretches under my chin or I can pull it over my nose and the neck is not to loose or to tight. Just Right.
