I'm considering getting this pack, but wonder if it's too big for a day pack in the backcountry/resort pack. I would prefer the Nirvana Pro 25, but backcountry doesn't sell it. Does anyone have it and can say how big it is compared to... a flour sack, peanut butter jar, or banana... anything? Or a photo would be great!

I would deffinatly go with the Salomon Rocker 2s. The amount of technology and thought they put into these ski's is amazing. They even took out the metal edges on the tips because they never make contact anyway, and to make them lighter, also the edges don't catch when you messing around in powder. But then they put a little piece of metal on the tip of the ski so when you're carrying them, you don't beat up the tips. They thought of everything with these. The Rocker 2 deffinatly lives up to the versatility of the JJAKs. It's amazing in powder, but still a fun ski on hardpack. Salomon Rocker 2 FTW.

First off, these pants rock. Period. But I'm not biased... They have an amazing design, articulated knees to promote movement, baggy fit so you never get that binding feeling, they're supper comfy and have savvy pockets. This is your all around outstanding pant. The material has a great feel to it. It's feels durable and waterproof, but it it's soft and comfy. Basically the utter opposite of typical raincoat fabric, but still with the goods. Cross also designed the Petter pant with a great fit, it has a wider waistband that sits perfectly wherever you want it. And they even gave it built-in spandex waistband tightener thingy so you can get the perfect fit, no belt required! If you can't decide between this pant or another, go with this one and you'll never stop singin' Hakuna Matata. Oh and I almost forgot... for all those snowboaders out there, the Petter pant has a but pad :) yeah... now you want it.
