I just got some of the Smith IO/X Goggles...I was wondering how the fit/ventilation is with this helmet? I do quite a bit of back country hiking/skiing and have had issues in the past with my goggles fogging up? (not the Smith's those are brand new never used) The thing that concerns me most about this helmet is the lack of top ventilation. I tend to overheat quickly even on the coldest days.

5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am not sure what made me pick these up a few years back, but boy oh boy am I glad I did. These puppies could be tossed out of the back of a truck and run over by another and they will be straight as a rail. I have used these for the last 5 seasons, so I do not know how this year's model holds up, but I am sure Scott came through again. GO BUY THESE. How many poles have you been through in the last 5 years? More than 1? Then spend the few extra dollars for something good. I'm a big athletic guy and actually put all of my 250 lb frame on one of my poles with the edge of my ski on a fairly steep off piste run earlier in the year. Yeah the paint scratched, but the pole did not bend or break or weaken. These are the best things out there and trust me I do not say that lightly when reviewing anything. When mine do eventually give out you can bet that I will be buying another pair of them.
