How much are these going to stretch out. I currently climb in the Katana's (size 43) and they fit great for single pitches or bouldering but I'm looking for something more comfortable for cracks and multi-pitch. I'm thinking about just going up half a size (43.5), but if they are going to stretch a lot maybe the same size. Any thoughts on the topic?

Would this harness work well for glacier travel and some low class 5 climbing, not really expecting to fall on the climbing but not confident enough to solo it. The reason steering me toward this harness is its packability and weight, also like the ice-clipper slots

Its really amazing when your climbing partner is about 50 ft up the cliff with his own head light and he asks, “Hey Ryan I can’t see where I’m suppose to go can you look up” and all of sudden the entire face is illuminated in bright white light completely dwarfing his own beam. Put some lithium Ion batteries in this puppy and be amazed. I’ve had mine for about three years now and its starting to get a little touchy when turning it on, a couple of slaps usually does it but once its own no problems. Only thing I’m not a fan of is how the batter back starts to dig into the back of my skull after a while but I’d say just nut up and deal with it. Great light end of story. Oh yeah fits on my half dome great too

Just to answer my own question to help everyone else out, I got the La Sportiva Trango Alps GTX and these crampons were glued to my boot. After you flipped the rear boot welt up you could pick it up and shake it like your life depended on it and it wouldn't budge. Overall these worked great for some pretty gnarly snow climbs

I’m new to mountaineering due to the geographical limitations of southern Illinois. I’m looking to climb some of the 14ers in Colorado this summer and am stuck between the La Sportiva Trango S EVO GTX and Asolo Expert GV Mountaineering Boots. Can anyone help me or at least point me in the right direction?
