Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This pack seemed like exactly what I wanted in a light alpine pack, but was NOT. The black fabric tears easily and is cheap. The zippers are very low quality and I did not trust them. The attachment points for ice tools on the bottom where great but the ones on top were flimsy and constantly fell off. I had to keep them in the pack unless I was using them. The pack has a huge top pocket but that doesn't work in conjunction with the compression so when the pack is not full it has this big square flop mess. The webbing on the shoulder strap pulls feels like it will last two weeks. All in all this pack is wildly over priced and only light due to its cheapness. But hey, I might be a beater and you might want to spend a lot of money. Similar BD packs are the way to go I think. Have fun out there.
