Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I have had many pair on Altra Trail shoes and these quickly became my favorite. I thought I prefered minimal shoes until I got a pair of these to try out. I ran my first Trail marathon in these in Park City and my feet, no joke, did not hurt. I love the wide toe box and the shoe still stays snug on my feet. Zero drop natural toebox is where its at in my opinion.

I spent some time with this tool on a recent trip to Ouray. I own the new BD Fuel, and have owned the Vipers and Cobra's. I have also spent a lot of time on the Nomics and Quarks.
These tool's very much excel on vertical to less than vertical ice. It's swing is well weighted and drives very easily. It was a breeze for me to land good placements compared to the Nomics or Fuel's, because these tools needed less of a specialized flick at the end.
The women in our party, four of them, all preferred this tool over all the rest we had. Which also included the Tech Machine and the Quantum Tech.
This is by far my favorite tool for less than to vertical ice.

This pack seemed like exactly what I wanted in a light alpine pack, but was NOT. The black fabric tears easily and is cheap. The zippers are very low quality and I did not trust them. The attachment points for ice tools on the bottom where great but the ones on top were flimsy and constantly fell off. I had to keep them in the pack unless I was using them. The pack has a huge top pocket but that doesn't work in conjunction with the compression so when the pack is not full it has this big square flop mess. The webbing on the shoulder strap pulls feels like it will last two weeks. All in all this pack is wildly over priced and only light due to its cheapness. But hey, I might be a beater and you might want to spend a lot of money. Similar BD packs are the way to go I think. Have fun out there.

My fine hound used his working 8 day shifts in the San Rafeal Swell for two years, and it lasted with the slightest speedy stich. He ducked under barbed wire daily, chased cattle, gopher, ground squirrel, snakes, Pronghorn, bird, moose, elk, cowboys on horses with guns (foolish). And it lasted, abuse after abuse. It was amazing, can't wait for its successor to show up

if you can get the single to do what that picture is doing you are a freaking genius, this thing (single) was tiny. Had in the wind rivers (swamp of Wyoming, who knew?) and it sucked. I would however think about returning it to BC.com to get the double size, if only to go into the retail store and talk with the lovely folks there again!
