Ross's Bio

My Subaru Baja has taken me cross country multiple times and I love it. I love Pete's coffee in the morning to help me wake up at 4:30 AM. I love all biking and anything on the water. Those our my two main passions. Living here in SLC the summers are great but too short, I snowboard and snowshoe in the winter time.

These headphones are in my opinion the best headphones at this price point. I tried on all the models of skullcandy and even listened to a few for quite sometime while working and none of the headphones fit perfect. The fit is such a personal thing that you really need to try them on to be able to tell. The sound is great and I love the cable only being on one side. They were a little tight when new but after wearing for a little while they became very comfortable.

I just purchased this bladder because I was a little tired of the same old trouble everybody has with camelbak bladders, and I figured what the hey might as well try a different style and I will either have the same issues or new issues which I can then make a better decision next time. I am sold on Platypus. The only issue I have with this bladder is the mouth piece is a little bigger then my old camelbak so it won't fit snugly in my should strap and it kept getting caught on stuff, the lift chair, my buddy while on the lift chair. All this needs is sometime for me to find a way to secure it. Other then that with the huge zip top it is so easy to get ice and water in it, in case you forget to through it in the freezer the night before, and it dries out so fast with that top open there is no worry of mold or mildew. I also never experience any leaking from the mouth piece or the hose connection at the bladder. I hated having to thread the hose through the shoulder strap every day, and I have had no leaking or issues with the hose quick connect.

I have some old Rome bindings that I have been riding on since 2005, they have taken me everywhere, but they are sort of Frankensteined. Every yeah I have to replace some little part. I took these bindings out to Steamboat for a week, a little sketched because I didn't want to have to spend a whole day trying to custom the fit to me, but these were excellent. The first day I set the binding close to where I know I would want them but Rome has made them so easy to adjust and customize to your riding style. I never stopped making adjustments, and now have even changed my old bindings up a little, it was so easy a little tweak when you strap in or on the chair that is how easy it was. I even made a quick adjustment while strapped in in line to the first chair.

I found this jacket to be very warm and it will definitely hold up in the elements. The one negative I found of the jacket is that it states the liner can be zipped in but there is no way to attach the liner to the shell. They are independent of each other. Other then that I love 3-1 jackets and this is the best one I have used so far.
