Romy Ilano's Bio

Is this like online dating but for snowboarding products? just kidding. testing the boundaries, sorry for the unusualness. but snowboarding tends to be more fun when it's weird. :)

yeah snowboarding!

When you're ripping your gloves off and on half the time on the snow, it becomes obvious really quickly why you might want snowboard-specific wrist guards. It's the little things that make you lose time on the snow. I have a slightly older model but they designed the wrist curvature really well so that it's not such a PITA to do such things. :)

this is soooo beautiful. that's just next level pattern design there. i'd have to see more of the jacket to finish this sentence but nikita has tight quality and I know it's not going to make me look like the lame asian snowboarder girlfriend who works at hooters. i'll be like almost as cool as marie-france roy, maybe 1/100th.

the thing about fit that's hard is that everybody has a differently shaped head. and mine is really really really round, almost like a basketball, so it's tough to say. so i'm judging only from the photograph but that's so cool. it's like they are illustrating the birth of the universe.

i don't get women who are obsessed with tight snowboarding pants. no matter what you're going to look like you have more junk in your trunk because it's snowboarding. plus if you can't fully bend down and over you're going to look like one of those snowboarder girlfriends out there, with your butt sticking out all funny and obsessed with ending the day at 2pm and flirting too much with the bartender. dude.

i had these without the suspenders, i got the XS, they're fine. even with butt padding i still don't have a bunda though, so i don't know. what do you want? do you want to snowboard or do you want to try to look like one of those creep hollywood starlet chicks? this is snowboarding, not a weekend spa treatment.

just teasing. these were good pants. i liked them. they came in neon which goes well with my ultra dark skin tone. even in the bright colors i was able to zip far far away very quickly from any potentially troublemaking jealous snowboarder girlfreinds out to get me. great stuff.

plus you get warm fuzzy feelings because they used to sponsor tim brauch who was one of the greatest skateboarders that ever lived.

i'm pretty sure that the boys' snowboard lines are the pirate booty treasure in every product design department at all the snowboarding companies around the world. i hope people don't get too desperate, like pulling wedgies on other designers. but this seems to be where the designers are having the most fun. i wish i could demo these boards and know how they ride, but what the hell, it's the internet. i'm going by images. these have good reputations.

i used to be a graphic designer... and i have this weird feeling that all the graphic designers at snowboarding companies fight to get control of creating the boy snowboard line. it just looks like the most fun to design. things are less serious, quality is still relatively high, and you can go all out. wow!

i'm like, it's time to take growth hormones. not only does it ride good from what the guys say, its graphics don't turn me off, they do the opposite! imagine loving your board like that. i hugged one in the shop at least. maybe someday there will be midget sized powder boards in 140cm but until there is a market size for it, who knows.
