For a jacket that fits like the Tool, but is a little lighter weight, I'd go with the Countdown SO Jacket. Very similar fit, just a little lighter, but still full WINDSTOPPER, so you get very similar protection.

William,

This jacket is our TIGHTEST fitting jacket, so I'm not surprised. In addition, this jacket will feel tight across the chest while you are standing around, and will only feel "perfect" once in a riding position (once you bring your shoulders down and arms forward, the chest will fit right in place).

One thing you might double-check is the arm-length. The XL is about 34" and the XXL is about 35".

If anything, you could buy the XL and XXL and return the one that doesn't fit.

hope that helps,

Not sure exactly what you mean, but the jacket is super ventilated - hidden pit zips and wrist zips that allow you to ventilate or to move the sleeves up your arms. Also, the main zipper in the front is a locking zip so if you zip it down half way, it'll stay where you put it.

this jacket is not water-proof but is highly water resistant. The front, sides, and sleeves are all DWR coated Windstopper, so will repel most moisture, but the back has a non-membrane panel for extra breathability. It is not waterproof or resistant.

This jacket is intended for cool, windy days, and has the added versatility of removable long sleeves. It converts to a Windproof short sleeve jersey.
