I absolutely love this pack! It eats up everything I put into it. I can carry all of my college textbooks, my laptop, a waterbottle, a jacket, and pens comfortably. The water bottle holder zips closed when you don't need it. Two pockets on the top are great for shades, cell phone, ear buds, or any little valuable you don't want crushed. The pack is made of this super tough, water proof material. I don't know if the pack is water proof, but the zippers are the same as on my water proof jacket. The laptop sleeve is positioned a bit above the floor of the pack so if you drop the pack the laptop won't take the abuse. I don't know what else to say. It is a great pack.

For the past several years I've been using my parents old bag which is the size of a beach ball. I was amazed with how small the Spirit SL. It could fit almost anywhere in my backpack. The stuff sack it comes in is really handy because one of the compressions straps un clips. The bag is supposed to stay warm to 32 degrees but I think I can do even better than that. I used it first sleeping on a church floor in Sweden with the window open and it was hovering around freezing. The only thing I would add to this bag is a watch pocket. The bag is pricey but I got it here for about 120$ off. Can't beat that.
