They keep my feet warm because they allow good air flow* My feet stay dry because of the waterproofing *They keep me standing excellent support and traction* Kevlar laces are perfect. I have had three pair, just wished the soles did not delaminate in a year . Yet the two year Solomon warranty keeps me satisfied, but it is getting old.
Comfort, Good Looks, Washes up and dries in minutes, Wears like steel, and I look dam smart in them. Yea OK I will admit it, I now feel stupid in white cotton, I feel like a baby in diapers. So when I take a shower I wash these in the sink, put them on a nail over the heater or put the dryer on them and if not full dry it doesn't matter I will not ware anything else. I think you will agree if you try them. They will not carry any odors even if they are on for a very long time. I will not say how long is long, I do have a little bit of pride, not much but a bit. Proud to ware these tho, no matter who she is. I seldom put them though the winger, I hand wash them almost every time.
But the natural pesticide washes out in a short period of time. I would not assume they are using pyrethrin, it is just too weak. I know this if you wash them in hot water you will damage the coating. I spilled paint all over my paints and had to wash them in hot water. Now they are not that waterproof but no paint at all.
Very strong material for such a lightweight fabric, fast drying, its gots de look, very cool in the summer, awesome colors(nylon is hard as hell to dye) the lighter color looks better than the darker. Soo... better than de cotton merda I see everywhere,Women look at them too, I think they are wondering where did such a cool pair of pants came from, because you can't buy them here, or something else.
Hiking through a rain shower, wet foliage and water just beads off. Crawling or sliding shows no abrasions. I think I will always wash in cold water to save water repellent. Almost too many pockets but worth the price. Four stars because they are too hot for the humid sicking sticky southern summers, yall be grateful if not here, only good for shorts June - September .
OK I put these things on last Tuesday, today is Saturday and all is well down below. I think it is a small miracle you can wear these things like for ever, and my wife thinks the same way, crazy
ahh. They are not hot, and it had been over 90, soft as cashmere, what can I tell you belive it or not. Wool underwear just crazy, its so nice. COTTON SUCKS it really does and its nasty too. Ever seen an animal wear cotton, only one. the poor hairless ape. OK now its Sunday, all washed up just because.
If I didn't feel and see it I would not know I had it on, ( almost totally true but a bit warmer than nothing). Color is sharp and clean,it looks cool and it is cool.
The knit texture and grade is just awesome, I have never seen knit of this quality before. The tightness of weave and placement in the garment allows it to be water and wind resistant, holding more heat then any other knit frabic. A best in sweater/shirt looks and warmth. Easy to care for, soft on skin warm on the body. If you have ever been around textiles you will understand why this is such a incredible piece of work, well with in the frame work of art meets funtion. The photo you are seeing here is by no way accurate, the only photo that would show the detain would have to be taken at one cementer of the garment.
This jacket aka shell, makes me feel very secure when I think it may go arctic on me... So when I am out backpacking, exploring, hitting de road, hoofing it, legging it, rambling, roving, strolling, stumping it, touring, tramping about, traveling or tromping, I have no anxieties. Plus this jacket simulates me as being someone with a banging I/Q a real outdoorsman, mountain climbing what ever , hou raa, . Frigging WEll MADE no less!!!!!!!
Pros: Waterproof,um yea waterproof because I lost my coffee all over this thing and it rolled right off. So they say it is waterproof yea well OK sounds good, I believe it. Nice loft, a wind dead stop, so light you forget that its winter, sorta, NO pockets as in the garment, the material is too light to support a pocket anywhere on it. Excellent emergency wear 4 da backpack. This jacket is the perfect base layer if you don't need a hoodie, that's a for sure and built as such, the Alpine light has a hood go there if needed.Cons: the brick red is not brick red just Red, so beware boys don't get labeled.
Fist things first, I an not a sedentary nor skinny guy and I keep my metabolism up if possible.
My test run was with two layers of IceBreakers and this down jacket.
That said, I took the jacket out for a whorl, it was about 7 C or 45 F. It was so light I hardly knew of it. It broke a hard wind around me, and twas extremely comfortable.
The temperature dropped to near 0 and after driving 20 miles I noticed I didn't have any heat in the car. The only reason I noticed this is because I did not have my down shoes on. "/
The color red does draw the attention of those in camouflage, those on harleys and depraved womem all smiling sharply as I walked by.
