4 5

Wore a pair of these on the last 500 miles of my AT thru hike in 2010. These shoes were the most comfortable of the 4 pairs I used on the hike. Not one blister. Bought another pair just for knocking around and hiking around the home place. I did have problem with the lugs on the side of the shoes peeling off on my first pair after 2 weeks, but I finished my hike and still have the shoes. This problem did not affect anything.

Poor design

Started out my 2010 AT thru hike with this pack. I found it comfortable until I lost 20 pounds and had no more adjustment on the hip belt. I used a size L. After a couple of weeks the back mesh panel and hip belt pockets started to wear from rubbing on the frame. After about 1200 miles there no longer was any separation between my back and the pack and the frame started to rub into my hip causing some type of nerve pinch or bruise which still bothers me today. I swapped the Exos for an Atmos 65 which is another awesome pack but the mesh on the pockets are starting to wear out on this one too because they rub against the frame.
