Natalie's Bio

I'm a Utah native. I love it here! I dabble in a lot of outdoor activities, which I do often and really enjoy, but am purely passionate about bouldering/ sport rock climbing, snowboarding and camping.
My love for rock climbing is based so much on the drive to be stronger, both physically and mentally. Along with that, the reward of overcoming your fears and doubts is the most amazing feeling ever. I love that climbing is all about YOU! You don't depend on a team. You only progress as much as you push yourself and I love that challenge. That being said, I don't mind the adrenaline rush that comes along with it.
Snowboarding has kept me so much more than entertained for almost 15 years now. I don't think my love for the sport will ever die. Some of the best memories of my life have been up on the mountain. Although skill is definitely a necessity when riding, having the right gear can, without a doubt, sweeten the experience so much more.
Camping is so awesome! Who doesn't love being outside in the crisp mountain air, exploring the beauty that surrounds us in our mountains, eatin' some good grub made over the fire, sipping a tasty beverage and sharing the company of good friends and family?? For me, it doesn't get much better.
I love talking gear and would be more than happy to guide you in the right direction of whatever your passion is/is about to become! IF YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT/INTERESETED IN GETTING INTO ANY OF THESE ACTIVITIES, FOLLOW ME! YOU CAN ALSO GET IN TOUCH WITH ME AT 1-800-409-4502 EXT. 4350. MY HOURS IN THE OFFICE ARE MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 8:30AM – 5:00PM MST.

Cheers!

The Italians know what's up! La Sportiva makes some high quality climbing shoes. I've had two pairs of these shoes now and they never wear out in any place other than the sole and in sufficient use/time. The rubber on these shoes is incredibly grippy which makes the worry of a foot blowing the last thing on my mind. I am a women's size 8.5 and went with a 38.0 which broke in to be perfect. There will be a good amount of stretch once the shoe is broken in. But, only in the spots that are initially the tightest. After the break-in period, you will be happy you went with the smaller size.

The quality of this glove is obvious when having it in your hand and looking at it. The leather is very movable, there isn't a stitch out of place and the material that touches your hands is like fluffy amazing silk! The glove has just the right amount of insulation. My hands get cold easy. But when I'm wearing these gloves, cold fingers are the last thing on my mind. Great for someone with longer fingers.

This sweater is so sick! It is the perfect regular fit. not too long/short. The graphic is great and your reppin' a great company. I recommend washing in cold water and hang drying if you have the time. It will definitely extend the life of the fabric. I haven't noticed the fabric balling up at all yet because of how I have cleaned it. The fabric is nice and warm and very soft against your skin. Definitely a piece I'd recommend.

This pack is made of some pretty burly material that will not likely tear any time soon. The zippers are big and burly as well. I am incredibly impressed with everything on the pack. the function, the straps, the stitching. I use it for my snowboarding gear but it is a pack that is designed to be universal. I definitely recommend it!

Good amount of chalk for not alot of $$'s. This chalk is chunky and powdery mixed together. Chunks are great for bouldering and the powder is good for routes. The container is not super quality and the lid takes quite a few turns to get off but, all in all, it gets the job done just as good as the expensive stuff.

The construction of the fabric is not very high quality. The fabric is very thin, practically see-through and not very soft against my skin. I am a curvy woman and the fit was not ideal for me through the hips, though everywhere else fit fine. The sleeves were too long (in a size medium) which left excess fabric resting around my wrists. Not ideal to have all that excess under your gloves. My arms are not abnormally short or long. In addition, the seams do not rest flat which is a big down-side for me.

I bought the shorts for my boyfriend to climb in. I was immediately impressed with the quality the second I took them out of the box. The material is very stretchy but at the same time seem as though it will be very abrasion-resistant. They fit true to size and have a very nice looking fit. Not baggy at all, nor too tight. They will be a great piece for hiking, climbing, camping and even casual wear. From a woman's point-of-view, they look really good on ;)

I can sit on this harness for extended periods of time and not really feel any discomfort. The gear loops are easy to clip on/off of and there is a great deal of adjustment in the waist and leg loops. I am a 32" in the waist and went with a medium. Very comfortable and sweet colors!

These socks are very warm and great at keeping moisture from building up. I can wear them 4/5 times before I can detect any sort of foot order beginning to stick. Definitely a plus! Oh the other hand, the fabric has balled up a little and they don't look as nice as when i first got them last season. They may not look as good, but they still perform every bit as well as when I first bought them!

This is my 3rd set of these tires. they are a great all-around tire. They are a bit meatier then the WTB Wolverines but, according to the WTB web site,
they are a little lighter. They wear well and last quite a while. On the other hand, I have noticed the bead on the tire is very tight. Much tighter than other tires I have used. As a result it can be difficult to get on.

I bought these shoes for my boyfriend. This is his second pair. They are a very good MTN bike shoe. They are great for narrow feet. If you have really wide feet, They are not the shoe you are looking for. He wears between a 10.5 and 11 US shoe and I bought the 45.5 and they fit great. The only issue he has had is that, over time, the plastic mount, where the pedal clips in, wears down and it gets a little bit of play. Also, if you are walking a lot up hill off your
bike you will peel off the material on the toe. It doesn't affect the function of the shoe, it just looks bad. Ride on!!!!

The fabric is very nice and seems likely that it will hold up well over time. The pants are not as skinny as some. I would say they are more like a slim/straight legged fit. That being said, They are very narrow at the bottom of the pant. So narrow that it was hard for me to fit them over my boot, unzipped. The pants would be perfect if they had a bit more flare at the feet. They do run a little on the small side. I have a 32" waist and wear a very thin base layer bottom and am maxed out in the waist in a size large. All in all though, they are a good pant.

This jacket has a long, slimmer fit which I love and haven't found in a lot of jackets lately. It is a waterproof, softshell-type material that has a good amount of stretch and is super comfortable. The four pockets on front are easy to open/close with gloves on. This jacket has a generous amount of room around the neck when fully zipped so you have plenty of room to wear a thick gaiter without feeling restricted. There are 3 buttons on the cuffs that will accommodate any thickness of glove your wearing. The jacket does not have cinch straps around the bottom hem. That being said, they really aren't necessary because the jacket is cinched a little already. For sizing, I am 5'6", 160 lbs, my torso length is 16" and my chest measurement is 36.5". I went with a size medium. Check out the photo I posted to see the fit of it. Lastly, the only peeve I have with the jacket is that the powder skirt is not removable. If that doesn't bother you, I definitely recommend this jacket! I love it!
