Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I ordered this lantern expecting to receive one that matched the specs listed, and at the time of my order the picture was correct for the specs.
Good news for you: the actual specs are better in every way! Actual specs:
Modes: HIGH (250 Lumens)>LOW (21 Lumens)>SOS FLASHING>OFF
BULB TYPE: 2 x 1W Nichia, white LEDs
BATTERIES: 6 1.5V Alkaline batteries (not included)
HxW: 6.2” x 2.9” (158 x 74mm)
Weight:14.6 oz. (414g) with batteries

It does exactly what I wanted it to, even better than expected. Plenty of light on high to light up a picnic table sized area for car camping or luxury backpacking. The globe also screws off to turn it into a flashlight of sorts.

I installed a set of these in 2 TieRods without too much trouble. I had seen some questions about if these would work with Thule racks (would be nice, I have a Thule hitch rack), and they look virtually identical to Thule lock cores. I called Rocky Mounts and turns out the locks are made by the same company, but one brand's lock cores are slightly shorter and are likely to get stuck in the rack. Supposedly this is due to the lock maker having a rule against supplying the same lock to two companies.

As noted by mccuden, it is probably not the best idea to use the key to pop out the plastic cover in the racks, I used the allen wrench included with the rack and it worked fine.
