Just got this jacket in the Red Color. My Gore-Tex Paclite rainshell was always my go to riding jacket in the fall, but I never was comfortable in it. It was always too hot and clammy.
Tuesday I rode up at Deer Valley, weather required a long sleeve freerideish jersey, which was perfect for the climb up, but once we pointed it down TG1, it as time for another layer. This jacket was a great wind layer, and really worked to keep my temperature regulated. I never felt anything close to the clammy feeling of my pac-lite. So far, I am sold. I think I am going to need to use it once or twice more to really get a solid idea, but as of now, this thing is sick.

Great gloves, no padding, cool, mesh backing. I really like these gloves for the DJ's and trail rides where the hands just need a little protection. For DH I prefer slight padding, but these are great gloves, the lack of velcro makes it hard to get on my big paws but once they are on, super comfy!

Got a chance to demo this bike on a lift served trail with rolling hills and a climb back to the bottom. Pedals pretty well for its size, but definitely a gravity oriented beast. Not in the same catagory as a SB-66, Intense Carbine, Mojo HD based on the lack of climbing performance, but it descends like a little DH bike. Great option for the gravity rider looking for a trail bike that can pedal decently well, or someone looking for a foil to a light XC bike that is not a full on DH sled, great option!

I was skeptical about the Merino Wool in the hot Utah summer, but these shorts have proved to be the best I have ridden. Small hole starting to develop after 3 months of 3-7 days a week of riding, primarily in these, so not surprised. Not thrilled, but will just sew them up and keep on truckin. Chamois is awesome, temperature regulation is awesome, both in cool weather and in that 100 degree summer sun.
Not looking back, great short.

Needed a new bag after my Camelbak Mule finally ate it after 7 years or so. Solid bag, enough space for shorter day adventures. i really like the bladder hook at the top of the bladder compartment to keep the bladder from sliding down, but the internal storage pockets are kinda large, and I wish there were some smaller locations for a multi-tool, CO2, etc. Don't really dig the jingling i get from the loose tools.

Pros:Light weight, great padding that protects my eyes from sweat, visor is flimsy, as stated, but I like this because if I crash, my visor won't break. Light enough to be comfortable on long XC rides, confidence inspiring on the descents based on its light weight and protection

Cons: pretty warm, that is about all I can think of.

Coming off a 2 man Kelty that had been used and abused, it was time for a new tent this season. I decided on the Gore Pass 2, and have been very impressed. I used it for 3 nights on its Maiden Voyage this past weekend, and Needless to say, 2 people fit incredibly comfortably. We were car camping, so we left bags in the car and there was so much space I did not even realize I was sleeping next to someone. Even with packs I feel as though this would have been very spacious. The fast fly option, and the dual vestibules are all great features with Big Agnes quality.
