I live for the outdoors... Attracted to jobs in the "field" and now volunteer all my spare time helping others enjoy the outdoors and spend what little time I have left enjoying nature for myself. Camping, skiing, hiking, kayaking, biking, and just outright frolicking.
These are the longest shorts I own and I now look for 12 inch inseam plus shorts. These may convert you to long short wearing too. I was somewhat skeptical of the single snap on each cargo and rear pocket located on only one corner, but even after some long bike rides the pockets have been very secure thus far.
These are cool around the house for those tactical weekend cleanups. Very comfortable material blend.
Great Oakley style and quality. I love the fact that they are made in the USA.
I will explain this for the backpackers. If you have not car camped in some time or ever, then it might be hard for you to understand that camping for some folks include damn near every creature comfort from home. The whole idea is to make the camping experience more palatable for the entire family. Well at these camp sites you have to clean your dishes somewhere and if bringing buckets is too much then something like this will do and save a little space.
this 'Jersey' knit is the most comfortable Smartwool merino shirt I have ever worn. Not the most desirable color combos, but awesome shirts otherwise.
I wish I bought a second pair in my size when Backcounty had them.
This a great way to add water to ANY rig you may be traveling or adventuring with. The d-rings allow for attaching to the outside of anything: pack, boat, sled, cart, etc. Or throw it in your compatible pack for extra insulation.
Nice bright light. I wish it was more water resistant. The light does point straight out and can rotate down several degrees for use as a work head lamp.
These are great totes by themselves and the ability to carry three or four together is great. Color coordination is an easy habit to start and these totes making gear-heads stop spinning so much trying to locate gear. Buy an extra set, I'm sure you will end up using it or help a family member find a little organization.
Plain and simple you need less tools in the long run to take care of your equipment.
These are great socks for use with light hikers and work style boots. I wear them practically everyday with my 3/4 mid Magnum work boots. From temps ranging from the 50 to 85f with great temp moderation and sweat regulation. These are great socks and when people catch a glimpse of the goat it always starts a conversation, and I get to praise Backcountry.com.
These are the most comfortable gloves I own "hands down". They are waterproof and look cool.
Crowbars do fit but not as well as A-frames.
Warm with great venting and ample storage. Fit and look good.
I'm a 36/37 and the large is bitchin
Forty bucks is like forty Bic lighters but this lighter looks cool.
I got these as a gift and they work as described. I like the fact that the ends are stitched down....But not for 20 bucks.
The reviews from this site alone sold me on trying an ATC guide and it has found a place on my rack. You climbin' fools.
