Solid fleece, fits great!
4 5

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this fleece for my 60 pound pitbull before we took our most recent trip to the desert for some winter camping and climbing. Temps were mid 50's during the day and right around freezing at night. This fleece fit him great; he has a pretty thick chest but is not very long so I have had trouble finding jackets that fit him in the past. I more or less ended up picking this fleece because it was the only model that was in stock at the time in his size (medium). Given the fact that he is a pitbull, he naturally lacks fur and I don't think that this fleece was quite warm enough for this trip, but it was better than nothing and he was happy to have it... despite having to rock a fuchsia fleece all weekend (once again, this was the only one available that would fit him). Good thing he is colorblind haha. Here he is pictured in his snazzy new fleece with a spare down jacket draped over him to keep him warm at the shaded crag.

Fit: True to size

I just bought my second pair of Stretch Zion Pants and they are the best climbing pants that I have ever owned. They are stretchy, breathable, water resistant and quick drying. I use them for everything. They are stretchy and extremely flexible for climbing, and they are lightweight and breathable enough that you can even hike in them in the summer months without overheating. I love the pocket layout, they have an awesome mid thigh pocket that doesn't get in the way of your harness at all, so you can easily take a phone or small camera on any climb you go on. I also have a pair of the Stretch Zion Shorts that are just as compatible with your harness. All in all, these are great pants.

Ive had the Flip 10 for a while now and I liked it so much that I got the Flip 20 as well. This is a super convenient, multi use charger. You can charge it with any sort of USB power source, whether it be a laptop, wall outlet, or a solar panel. I use mine mostly when camping to charge either my phone or my USB rechargeable Petzl Tikka R+ headlamp. It has both a USB input and output, making it pretty much foolproof for charging your device, or the powerpack itself. Just don't forget your phone cord! The main thing that the Flip 20 has over the Flip 10, is that it can complete 2 full charges for your smart phone, as opposed to one. It is about twice the size, but I don't really see that as an issue as the Flip 10 is pretty small to begin with.

I tried a sample of the Coconut Cashew Chocolate Chip flavor and it was alright. Pretty good flavor. The texture was interesting and kind of threw me off, and it wasn't the easiest to eat, it was pretty chewy and generally left my mouth a little dry, definitely best eaten with water. Overall it was decent, but I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to purchase one of these, but I would probably eat one if it was given to me.

I wish I could get by with just balling up a sweatshirt to sleep on while I am backpacking, but I just can't. I have been suffering with whiplash for about 5 years now and can't sleep through the night without a decent pillow. Before I got this pillow I would wake up every morning with a stiff neck and a headache. This pillow has solved that problem. The combination between an inflatable bladder and a memory foam pillow top you can fine tune this pillow until it is the perfect height and plumpness. It also has a bungee cord system on the back so that you can strap your sweatshirt to the back of it if you need to add additional height. Best of all it deflates and packs down into a small roll, so it doesn't take up much space in your pack. So if you are like me, and need solid neck support, this pillow is a can't miss!

I got the L Space Print Platinum Bikini Top in the Fern color for my girlfriend before our last river trip and she has been stoked on them! The fit is great and she looks great in it, so all around we are stoked on this top! I also got her the L Space Color Block Low Down Classic Cut Bikini Bottom in the Seaglass color, which matches this top.

I just tried this for the first time on my last camping trip. I was initially skeptical of Quinoa for breakfast, but my girlfriend insisted on trying this. And what can I say, I actually liked it quite a bit. It was surprisingly tasty, and satiated my hunger sufficiently. I will admit that there are other breakfast options I like better, but this one is pretty solid. My girlfriend loved it.

Do you like key lime pie? I do, on occasion. Now that occasion can happen when I am off the grid, hundreds of miles from civilization. This is a pretty solid dessert, and sure, it won't exactly look like a finely sliced piece of key lime pie, but it tastes about as close as you can get. If Key Lime Pie is your thing, look no further!

When going into bear country, you need to have one of these with you. If you have more than one person and are going to be staying multiple nights the BV500 Bear Resistant Food Canister is what you will need. If you are traveling solo or just bringing enough food for one night then the smaller BV450 Solo Bear Resistant Food Canister should suffice. This canister looks huge, but once you start loading it up with food you will realize that this larger size is necessary for longer trips with multiple people. This is a great product, and has a sterling reputation in the bear food protection industry. Don't go into bear country without one!

There are two things that I don't go backpacking without, Mountain House Chili Mac w/Beef, and Mountain House Lasagne with Meat Sauce. These are my two favorite dehydrated meals, and they have never done me wrong. They have followed me from the Wasatch, to the Grand Canyon, to the Sierras. You really can't go wrong!
