Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: Runs small
I bought these to replace a stolen pair of similar gloves (E-tip Pamir Windstopper) and they are just what I need. I wear gloves year round for hiking, cross country skiing, and on cold days for bicycling. These gloves are not bulky, are easily packed, and I carry them everywhere I go on my bicycle or in my daypack. My skinny hands are 8.75 inches across (tip of pinky to tip of outstretched thumb) and 8 1/8" from wrist to tip of middle finger. The XL size fits me perfectly, and this will become my go to general purpose glove.
The construction is very good and the feel very nice, with just enough constriction around the wrist area to keep snow and wind out. The "grippy" silicone on the thumb tip and first two fingers provide needed friction on hiking and ski poles.
